I just finished reading Chapter 17 of To Kill a Mockingbird, and there are some pretty crazy stuff. Atticus has just finished questioning Mr. Ewell. Also when Atticus finished questioning and has concluded that Mr. Ewell is left-handed and Jem also says that Mayella has been beaten up with with a left hand. And Jem also says that Mr. Ewell might have been involved with Mayella’s incident.
So far I am up to Julianna’s part of the story where she tells how she first met Bryce and how she just wanted a playdate and he just wanted to get away from her. I don’t really have a quote to share, but I could say that even though Julianna just wants to have a friend to play with. That’s not what Bryce was thinking, at all.
Right now I just finished a part in the book where Bryce said his half of the story and now, Juli is starting to say her half. Sooner or later these two lovebirds are going to find themselves faster that you can say Bryce and Juli sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-S-I-N-G.
So I’m still reading a part in my book that says that Bryce, a seven year old boy does not want to be with another seven year old Juli. He has been trying to hide from her. ever since he knew that she was his neighbor. So I think a soundtrack that would go with my book would like the type of song where its like a mystery type song. Also when someone is trying to plan a mischievous plan of action.
Basically, this new book is about a boy, Bryce who has just moved into town and he can’t get away from the new girl in his neighborhood. But the girl, Julianna (Juli) has a different story, she can’t get enough from him. One person wants to be left alone, the other wants to be with the other person. I can make a connection with Bryce in this book because I know how it feels when someone likes you and you don’t want anything to do with them. Let’s see how this plays out.
I just finished my book Hollow City: The Sequel of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. I have got to say it is a pretty good book to read. So I don’t really know what will happen next until I read the next book.
I was just reading my book and the kids are thinking about joining the other peculiars army to take down the wights. this quote from my book says
“that peculiarness wasn’t a deficiency, but an abundance; that it wasn’t we who lacked something normals had, but they who lacked peculiarness. That we were more, not less.”
That means that being peculiar doesn’t mean that you are not normal or less than a human it means that you can be who you are and not be afraid of the gift that you have. That quote really stood out to me.
