There is really no quote that stands out to me in this book. It is really boring and it is really out of the ordinary. It jumps from one thing that is out of the ordinary, to something else that is even more out of the ordinary. But I guess that is just how the story goes, jumping from one thing to the next, to make it really hard to understand.
So far I am up to Julianna’s part of the story where she tells how she first met Bryce and how she just wanted a playdate and he just wanted to get away from her. I don’t really have a quote to share, but I could say that even though Julianna just wants to have a friend to play with. That’s not what Bryce was thinking, at all.
I was just reading my book and the kids are thinking about joining the other peculiars army to take down the wights. this quote from my book says
“that peculiarness wasn’t a deficiency, but an abundance; that it wasn’t we who lacked something normals had, but they who lacked peculiarness. That we were more, not less.”
That means that being peculiar doesn’t mean that you are not normal or less than a human it means that you can be who you are and not be afraid of the gift that you have. That quote really stood out to me.
I don’t really have a quote to discuss, so I will just say, I am reading into Hollow City. Right now the kids are trying to find a way to turn Ms.Peregrine into a human again, and time is running out.
One quote that I like from Hollow City is that “Everything happens for a reason”. I like that quote because I truly believe that everything happens for a reason. For example, if I saved someone from a burning building, in reason for that the person that I saved did not die. So I believe that everything does happen for a reason.
I have just finished the book Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, and it even had some bonus reading of some from the next book Hollow City: The Second Novel of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. A quote that stood out to me was said by Miss Peregrine: “I used to dream about escaping my ordinary life, but my life was never ordinary.” I liked that quote because it tells me that I should appreciate my life and everything that it has to offer,
I don’t really see a quote that I like in this book. Since its a graphic novel I didn’t see very much quotes. But I did like how Jacob got to know more about his grandfather, and how he got to meet so many new people from his grandfather’s stories. Even though I don’t have a quote from this book I can still say that it is good to read.
